One of the ways to add interest to a backyard is to create individual ‘garden’ rooms. A dining area for hosting an perfect outdoor dinner party, a lounge area to put your feet up in and read your latest magazine, an area with a firepit that is perfect for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs, a shed or garage outfitted with a bar for serving frosty drinks, a secret garden to hide out in (away from the phone and the blackberry); the list of possibilities is endless. Once of the benefits of these vignette areas is that they often serve to make a small area seem larger as even the tiniest backyard can have at least three individual garden rooms. Sometimes, it only takes a tiny amount of space, and a simple bistro table and chairs to give you the perfect place for the perfect moment.
